
When replacing your hard drive at times, it’s hard for some vendors. To cough up the key again for you to reinstall your software. For some of the vendors, the only way you can retain your key. Is to hold on to the orginal email, in which you purchased the product with.
Dragon natural speaking, unless you have the orginial email and/or have the ability to sign into your account. There is no way of obtaining that key. There is a unique way you can get the key and it’s on your hard drive. You can pull the key in the following folder and file.
- File location x64: “C:\Program Files\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking12\Ereg\”
- File location x32: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking12\Ereg\”
Look for a file called “Ereg.ini” and drop that into your favorite text editor. Inside of the file about 30 lines down, you will find called “Ser_Num“. That line will have the serial number to the dragon software that was installed on your previous hard drive.
